Update before the weekend
February 1, 2006

Dear Jeff,

Just a quick note with links to the hourly class schedule!

Plan Ahead!
Welcome to the 2007 Weekend Educational Program.
The good and the bad news is that we have doubled our attendance this year. Particularly since the later applications came from Pony Club groups, I didn't want to turn them away. It means we have to be very organized and very courteous.

Since everyone cannot fit in one room, lectures will go on in three or four areas at one time, especially on Saturday. As we change from room to room, do your best not to create traffic jams.

Registration starts at 7 on Saturday and at 7:30 on Sunday. Anyone who has not sent in their info and the correct amount of money will be held up in line while those who sent everything in order should whisk right through J.The lectures will start promptly at 8 (we hope).

The schedule has been changed slightly. Please study it and plan in advance which lectures you plan to attend. They are designated p = parent, a = adult amateur, i = instructor, y = youth, and k for the youngest ones.

The Eagle's Nest and the Hallway are on the lower floor. The café is on the upper floor next to the cafeteria and the Sideroom is between the entrance doors on the upper floor.

There is limited parking at the Leever Center. Once that is full you need to park at the North Gate which is at the bottom of the hill before you go up to Leever Center. Groups might want to drop off everyone, but the driver, who then gets to walk up the hill J As you drive to the college after getting off I 84 you might want to notice where you will get lunch if you are not eating in the cafeteria. Those who have paid for meals will be given tickets. If you lose it there will be no replacement.
Our lunch breaks are not long ; especially on Sunday, so plan accordingly. Subway may be swamped with orders.
There will be water, coffee/tea/cocoa and snacks available. Please remind your children that if they leave a room during a lecture they should not plan to re-enter; it is disruptive.
When you arrive there will be signups for individual work:
Musical freestyles with Margaret Freeman ; bring your music with you.
Sponsorship brochures ; bring some pictures and a bio
Alison End - work on Balimo Chair
Susan Harris - small group work with ball/trampoline, etc.
Robin Levine - individual exercises Team knowledge quiz with Margaret Freeman
These sessions will go on during lectures in separate areas.
Bring along riding pictures for the judging contest; questions to ask the experts at Saturday dinner. I highly recommend pen and notebook for everyone.
